The Sheathbill Bay is a small bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located north of Rosita Harbor , from which it is separated by a narrow peninsula.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the bay in 1977 after the white-faced sheathbill ( Chionis alba , English snowy sheathbill ), which is often found here.
