Sheikhpura is a city in the Indian state of Bihar .
The city is the administrative seat of the district of the same name . Sheikhpura is 118 km southeast of Patna . Sheikhpura has the status of a City Council ( Nagar parishad ). The city is divided into 27 wards . The Sheikhpura Nagar parishad had 62,927 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 33,137 were men and 29,790 women.
Sheikhpura station is on the broad gauge line between Kiul and Gaya . The state capital Patna can be reached with a stopover in Kiul, from where the rest of India is well developed.
