The Sheldon Glacier is a glacier on the West Antarctic Adelaide Island . It flows from Mount Mangin in a south-easterly direction to Ryder Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1977 after meteorologists Ernest Brian Sheldon (* 1945) from the British Antarctic Survey , who from 1968 to 1969 at the station of Adelaide Island, and from 1969 to 1970 to that of Stonington Island was active , as well as the Adelaide Island Station from 1975 to 1976 and the Rothera Station from 1976 to 1977.
