The Shenk peak is 2,540 m high and pointed mountain in the East Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the northern part of the Cumulus Hills of the Queen Maud Mountains, it rises 1.5 km southeast of Mount Kenyon between the Gillespie Glacier and the LaPrade Valley .
Participant of the Texas Tech University expedition to explore the Shackleton Glacier (1964-1965) named him after the geochemist John C. Shenk (* 1938), who was involved in this research trip.
