Sheriff Gomez

Sheriff ML Gomez (* around 1960 ) is a former Minister of Youth and Sports ( English Minister of Youth and Sports ) of the West African country Gambia .

Life

From 1983 to 1986 Gomez was employed by the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority . Then Gomez made a military career, where he received, among other things, a certificate in 1990 as a parachutist . In 1993 he attended several military courses at Fort Benning and Fort Knox in the United States. As a platoon commander, he took part in the ECOWAS Monitoring Group in Liberia from November 1990 to May 1991 . As a training manager, he was from May 1991 in the Gambia National Army .

Gomez received his Bachelor of Arts in English, History and Economics from the Pakistan Military Academy in 1990 . In 1997 a certificate in professional development in public administration management from the Management Development Institute in Gambia and a diploma in business administration from Borough College in London in 2003 . In 2004 a Master of Science in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management at London Metropolitan University followed .

On 27 June 2008 Gomez was by President Yahya Jammeh to the cabinet (as Minister of Youth and Sport English Minister of Youth and Sports ) called and succeeds Mass Axi Gai .
