Shervin Haghsheno
Shervin Haghsheno (* 1976) is a German civil engineer . He is a professor and managing director of the Institute for Technology and Management in Construction at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology .
Life
Shervin Haghsheno obtained his degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1999 . He then obtained his doctorate in 2004 while working as a research assistant at the Technical University of Darmstadt; At the same time, he completed a degree in economics at the Fernuniversität in Hagen . In 2004 and 2005 he worked as an executive officer at Bilfinger SE, then from 2005 to 2007 as a project manager in the Frankfurt branch of Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH, until he became a member of the management of Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH in 2008 and held this position until 2013 perceived. In 2013 he was offered a professorship at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). There he is managing director of the Institute for Technology and Management in Construction, where a total of 50 employees work, and head of the Construction Operations and Construction Process Management department .
In May 2019 it became known that the Bielefeld construction company Goldbeck is working with KIT within the research project "Digital Engineering and Construction" and is donating a professorship . The aim of this project cooperation is "to use application-oriented research to record and use the potential of digitization in the entire life cycle of buildings," says Haghsheno. The research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics has a total volume of EUR 8.8 million.
