history

The company was founded on September 1st, 1969 by Ortwin Goldbeck as a steel construction company in Bielefeld-Ummeln . The company then trading as “Goldbeck Stahlbau KG” founded its first branch in 1978 in Langenhagen near Hanover .

1980s

The establishment of the branch network began in the 1980s with the establishment of the Frankfurt / Main and Düsseldorf locations in 1981 . Through developments in pre-production and systematisation, the skills from steel construction to turnkey construction were further developed. For the first time, offices and halls were built from industrial system elements. Another branch was opened in Stuttgart in 1985 . At that time the company operated as "Goldbeckbau - Buildings made of steel and aluminum".

1990s

In the 1990s, the company continued to develop its product range, especially in the service sector, and in 1991 founded another production site for steel structures, aluminum facades, precast concrete parts and window elements in Treuen . In the mid-1990s, international activities were expanded. In Eastern Europe, a precast concrete plant was taken over in Dolní Bučice in the Czech Republic , and branches were founded in Poland and the Czech Republic in 1996. In 1997, the Oskar Patzelt Foundation honored the company in the Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises . Goldbeck International was founded in the same year.

Since 2000

The growth of the group was concentrated beyond Germany, also to Central Europe, Great Britain, Austria and Switzerland. The product range was expanded to include the areas of solar (2001), building in existing buildings and public-private partnerships . When Goldbeck Solar was founded in 2001, Goldbeck also added the construction, maintenance and operation of roof and open-air solar systems to its portfolio. In 2009, a new factory for precast concrete was built in Hamm . In addition, the company's own product portfolio was expanded with the development of energy efficiency concepts. In 2007 there was a generation change in the management: Ortwin Goldbeck handed over the management of the company to his sons Jörg-Uwe and Jan-Hendrik Goldbeck. In 2010 the company received the “German Entrepreneur Award” in the corporate succession category from the Harvard Clubs of Germany. In 2012, a precast concrete plant was purchased in Tovačov (Czech Republic). The group of companies operates under the name "Goldbeck GmbH" and is in the second generation of family ownership.
