Shigeo Kurata ( Japanese 倉田 重 夫 Kurata Shigeo ) is a Japanese botanist and taxonomist . His studies apply particularly to the genus of pitcher plants ( Nepenthes ); four recognized species of the genus, including Nepenthes campanulata , were first described by him . His botanical author abbreviation is " Sh.Kurata ".
