Kajo Scholz
Kajo Scholz (born June 27, 1953 in Kempen am Niederrhein, † July 1, 2008 in Essen ) was a German writer .
life and work
Kajo Scholz studied German and philosophy at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf , was the recipient of a grant from the city of Düsseldorf (1989) and a scholarship holder in the artist village of Schöppingen (1990). He made his debut in 1988 with the volume of poetry "Das Staunen des Anglers am Haken" (1988) and published poems, short prose texts and reviews in anthologies, literary magazines, art catalogs and in the Düsseldorfer Handelsblatt. The poem "Lenz" attracted particular attention in the Büchner reception.
The volume of poetry "The amazement of the fisherman on the hook" was translated into Romanian by the author and translator Elena Cîmpan under the title "Mirarea din cârlig a pescarului - Poezii". With a foreword by Ioan Radu Văcărescu. Published as a bilingual edition by Editura Armanis, Sibiu 2018. Public presentations took place in 2018 in Sibiu and Bistrita.
