Shih Chien University
The Shih Chien University (USC) ( Chinese 實踐大學 , English Shih Chien University ) is a private university in Taiwan .
The college is located in Dazhi , Zhongzheng District of Taipei and in the Neimen District of Kaohsiung City .
history
In 1958, the Shih Chien College of Home Economics was founded by Tung-Min Shieh. In 1979 the college was renamed "Shih Chien College of Home Economics and Economics", and in 1991 the college was renamed "Shih Chien College of Design and Management". In 1995 the Kaohsiung campus was established. In 1997 the university got its current name.
The Kaohsiung campus teaches around 5,000 students in 14 bachelor's and master's degrees and 7,000 students in 16 degrees and six graduate programs on the Taipei campus. From 1958 to 2005 around 53,000 students graduated here.
A part-time MBA program is offered with the FH Würzburg-Schweinfurt . Since 1991, a postgraduate master’s course has been implemented together with the Cologne International School of Design at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences .
