Shimun XII. Yoalaha
Mar Shimun XII. Yoalaha (died 1662 ) was heir to Patriarch Shimun XI. Eshuyow, and thus the seventh Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church from 1656 to 1662.
The seat of the Patriarchate of Babylon was at that time in Salamas (today: West Azerbaijan , Iran).
Like its predecessors Shimun X. Eliyah and Shimun XI. Eshuyow became Shimun XII. Yoalaha is not formally recognized by the Roman Church because Roman law does not allow hereditary transfer of the office of bishop. Hereditary right was granted by Shimun IX. Dinkha introduced in the Chaldean Catholic Church.
His successor was Shimun XIII in 1662 . Dinkha , the last patriarch of the Shimun lineage in the Chaldean Catholic Church.
