Shin Suk-ju (* 1417 ; † June 21, 1475 ) was a Korean politician, painter and Neo-Confucian philosopher .

He carried out a language reform in the 15th century during the Joseon Dynasty under the reigns of Sejong the Great and King Sejo . His pseudonyms as a philosopher were Huihyundang ( 희 현당 , 希賢 堂 ) and Bohanjae ( 보 한재 , 保 閑 齋 ). He served his country from 1461 to 1464 and as head of government from 1471 to 1475.
