Shipley Erskine, 14th Earl of Buchan

Shipley Gordon Stuart Erskine, 14th Earl of Buchan (born February 27, 1850 , † April 16, 1934 in London ), was a Scottish nobleman .

Life

His father was David Stuart Erskine, 13th Earl of Buchan ; his mother was Agnes Graham, daughter of James Smith. When his father died, he inherited his title of nobility, Earl of Buchan , Lord Auchterhouse and Lord Cardross .

Erskine served as a justice of the peace for Cambridgeshire throughout his life . He died on April 16, 1934 in London, his body was buried with his ancestors in Dryburgh Abbey after being transferred .

He was married once. The marriage, concluded on November 9, 1876 with Rosalie Louisa, daughter of Jules-Alexandre Sartoris (1831–63), had three children;
