The Shipwreck Moraine ( English for shipwreck moraine ) is a long moraine in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains , it stretches between Black Pudding Peak and Mount Brøgger in a valley next to the Benson Glacier .
A team led by the New Zealand glaciologist Trevor JH Chinn (* 1937), who worked in this area as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program from 1989 to 1990, recalled an accident with a snowmobile , except here on bare ice Control was advised.
