Shirase Bank

The Shirase Bank ( English ) is a bank in the Antarctic Ross Sea . It is located just off the Shirase coast of Marie Byrd Land .
The designation confirmed by the US Advisory Committee for Undersea Features (ACUF) in June 1988 was based on that of the coast of the same name. It is named after the Japanese polar explorer Shirase Nobu (1861–1946).
