Coordinates: 32 ° 32 ′  S , 117 ° 5 ′  E The Shire of Pingelly is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1295 km² and has about 1150 inhabitants (2016).

Pingelly is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southwest of the state about 130 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Pingelly, where about 800 inhabitants live (2016).

The Pingelly Council has eight members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Pingelly is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
