Coordinates: 31 ° 6 ′ S , 117 ° 47 ′ E The Shire of Trayning is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1651 km² and has about 350 inhabitants (2016).
Trayning is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the center of the state about 205 kilometers northeast of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the village of Trayning, where about 120 residents live (2016).

The Trayning Council has nine members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Trayning is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
