Coordinates: 32 ° 50 ′ S , 115 ° 55 ′ E The Shire of Waroona is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 832 km² and has about 4000 inhabitants (2016).
Waroona is located on the west coast of the state about 100 kilometers south of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the town of Waroona, where about 2400 inhabitants live (2016).

The Waroona Council has eight members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Waroona is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
