Coordinates: 32 ° 47 ′ S , 117 ° 30 ′ E The Shire of Wickepin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2042 km² and has 700 inhabitants (2016).
Wickepin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the southwest of the state about 180 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the village of Wickepin, where 275 residents live (2016).

The Wickepin Council has nine members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Wickepin is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
