Coordinates: 33 ° 1 ′  S , 116 ° 53 ′  E The Shire of Williams is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 2306 km² and has about 1000 inhabitants (2016).

Williams is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the west of the state about 150 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The headquarters of the Shire Council is in the village of Williams, where about 400 residents live (2016).

The Williams Council has nine members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Williams is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
