Shirley Thomas
Shirley Thomas ( Shirley Anne Thomas ; born June 15, 1963 in Lambeth , London ) is a former British sprinter .
The vice junior European champion over 100 m from 1981 came a year later over the same distance at the European Athletics Championships in Athens in the semi-finals and won silver with the British team in the 4 x 100 meter relay .
At the World Athletics Championships in 1983 , she was eliminated again over 100 m in the semi-finals and won another silver medal in the relay.
In 1984 she reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles .
