Shirpur-Warwade is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra . The city is located near the border with Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat .
The city is part of the Dhule district . Shirpur-Warwade has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 27 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 76,905 inhabitants, of which 40,235 were men and 36,670 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 78%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 84.80%, well above the national average.
