action
You are on your way to Cyclone, Arizona . Our friends invited us there to produce a music video with them. In the sleepy canyon town we have to find out that our friends have disappeared without a trace - and not just them. The city is dead. All have fallen victim to an ancient Indian curse that needs to be broken. But be careful: in the background a mysterious figure is sneaking through the streets of Cyclone. Furthermore, some intrigues and crimes seem to have taken place in this city. You get caught up in a scary story about a curse, a fatal accident and even murder. The player's task is to free his friends and the other residents from the curse. To do this, prayer sticks (bahos) must be brought into the canyon. The petroglyphs lurk in the canyon, waiting to gradually steal life.
Game principle and technology
Shivers Two is a 1st-person adventure, which means that what happens is shown from the perspective of the player. A partially animated still image of the player's surroundings is displayed, which he can examine with the mouse cursor. If the shape of the mouse cursor changes at a so-called hotspot, interaction with this point is possible. Shivers Two integrates FMV into the action: Scenes filmed with actors are inserted into the pre-rendered and partly post-processed backgrounds.
