The Shoal Lake is a lake in the southwest of Ontario on the border with Manitoba .
Shoal Lake is 25 miles west southwest of the town of Kenora . It is not far from Lake of the Woods to the east , into which it flows over the Upper Rapids . The lake area is 262.46 km².
Shoal Lake is a fishing lake in which pike and black bass in particular are caught. Catching eyeglasses and Canadian pikeperch is prohibited all year round.
