Shōgo Taniguchi ( Japanese 谷口 彰 悟 , Taniguchi Shōgo ; born July 15, 1991 in Kumamoto , Kumamoto Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Taniguchi began playing football during elementary school, where he played for the club Kumamoto United SC during this and middle school, as well as for the team at his high school Ōzu. After graduating from school, he studied at Tsukuba University and was also on their team.

National team

In 2015 Taniguchi made his debut for the Japanese national soccer team . With the Japanese national team, he qualified for the 2015 East Asian Cup .
