Shona (born January 29, 1963 , real name Catherine Chonageokoff , also called Katerine Shona ) is a French pop singer and songwriter, whose career mainly spanned the second half of the eighties .

Career

Born in 1963, Catherine Chonageokoff received classical music training in piano and singing as a child. At the age of 16 she wrote her first songs.

Her first sound carrier was released in 1985 with the single Panthère noire on Columbia / Pathé Marconi , where her other records were also released in the 80s. In 1987 Élodie, mon rêve followed , which reached number 10 in the French charts in 1988. This would be Shona's only chart success. In 1988 another single came out with Au jour le jour .

In 1989 both the singles Un instant de vie and Les sentiments , as well as Shona's first and only album Complètement mec, were released . After that she didn’t bring out any records for a while until the single Tout ce qu 'on a ... was released on Tréma in 1997 under the name Katerine Shona .

Shona has been a music teacher since the end of her pop singer career.
