Showdown! is a blues album by the three US musicians Albert Collins , Robert Cray and Johnny Copeland , which was released on the Chicago label Alligator Records in late 1985 . According to label boss Bruce Iglauer , it is "Alligator's best-selling album".

Album history

Was recorded Showdown! at Chicago's Streeterville Studios. Collins, Cray and Copeland were accompanied by the rhythm section of the Icebreakers, Johnny B. Gayden (bass) and Casey Jones (drums), as well as their keyboardist Allen Batts. In 2011 the album, produced by Bruce Iglauer and Dick Shurman, was released on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Alligator Records as a remastered reissue with the bonus track Something to Remember You By , both in CD and in 180g LP format.
