Shroud (born June 2, 1994 , real name Michael Grzesiek ) is a Polish - Canadian streamer, web video producer and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive e-athlete . He is the third largest Twitch streamer in the world.

Career

Grzesiek began his career as a professional CS: GO player with various ESEA teams. After he was signed to Cloud9 , he and his team took first place in ESL Pro League Season 4 in 2016 and 2nd place in ESL One Cologne 2017. On August 16, 2017, he announced only future to act as a substitute for Cloud9. On April 18, 2018, he announced his final retirement from Cloud9 and the end of his career as a professional CS: GO gamer. He took part in the PUBG August Twitch Rival in 2018 and secured 2nd place with his team partner and prize money of 5450 US dollars. From the end of his career to October 2019, he was active as a streamer on the Twitch platform and has over 7,000,000 followers and 360,000,000 views there. On October 24, 2019, he announced a change of platform and in the meantime switched from Twitch to Mixer . It has been streaming on Twitch again since August 12, 2020 after the Mixer platform was disbanded. When he made his comeback on Twitch, over 500,000 viewers watched him.
