A flock of ducks swims under the bridge in front of our gate,
Come quickly, and count: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8.

Under the bridge in front of our gate, a flock of ducks swims,
Comes quickly, and counts: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8.
Quack, quack, there are really many.
Countless ducks,
countless ducks.

The grandfather who tends the ducks has a shiny white beard.
He sings from operas and makes jokes.
Children, off to school, quick!
Don't come home with a duck egg,
Don't come home with a duck egg!
