Shugseb-Kagyu

The Shugseb Kagyu School ( Tib . : shug gseb bka 'brgyud ) is one of the so-called "eight smaller schools" of the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism ( Vajrayana ). It was founded by Gyergom Tshälthrim Sengge (1144–1204). He also founded the Shugseb Monastery ( shug gseb dgon pa ) in Chushur (Qüxü) County of Lhasa in 1181 , the ancestral monastery of this school.
