In 2014 the Japanese listed MegaChips Corporation acquired the company for a cash price of USD 200 million and now holds SiTime as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
SiTime offers MEMS -based timing solutions made of silicon that replace conventional crystal oscillators . The company cooperates with Bosch in the manufacture of the MEMS resonators .
