Sibylle Baier

Sibylle Baier is a German musician , composer and former actress . The former folk singer became famous for her album Color Green , released in 2006 , which contains songs from 1970 to 1973.

Life

She wrote her first song as a young girl while traveling across the Alps. In the 1973 drama Alice in the Cities , realized by Wim Wenders , she played a small supporting role. In 2008 she contributed the song Let Us Know to Wenders' film Palermo Shooting . As a composer, she was hired in 1975 for hugs - and 1 million too many . She later moved to the USA and devoted herself exclusively to her children.

Her album Color Green , which she recorded in Germany between 1970 and 1973 , was initially not released. About three decades later, her son Robby created a CD from these recordings, which J Mascis of the band Dinosaur Jr forwarded to the indie label Orange Twin Records. Orange Twin released the album on February 7, 2006.

Since the singer's rediscovery in 2006, songs by Baier have found various compilations , including the CD Rare Trax Vol. 84 - Lost & Rare Tracks of the German edition of Rolling Stone .

The song I Lost Something in the Hills was featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix series The End of the F *** ing World in 2019 .
