Wolfram von Fritsch-Seerhausen (born August 21, 1961 in Düsseldorf ) is a German manager .

Career

After graduating from the Schloss Salem School in 1980 and completing his military service with the 1st Airborne Division in Nagold, von Fritsch helped set up a private, non-profit development aid organization in Bolivia . From 1982 to 1984 he completed a banking apprenticeship at Commerzbank in Frankfurt . He then studied law in Heidelberg and Bonn (1984–1989). After the democratic Volkskammer election in 1990 , he headed the office of the state secretaries and the last foreign minister of the GDR, Markus Meckel, from April to October 1990 . Von Fritsch u. a. as a member of the delegation in the negotiations for the two-plus-four contract and the unification agreement .

After the second state examination in law and a doctorate, von Fritsch switched to Deutsche Bahn in 1993 , initially as assistant to CEO Heinz Dürr . Other positions in the course of his work for Deutsche Bahn included a. at CSX Transportation in Florida (1996) and at Japan Railways in Tokyo (1998). Between 2000 and 2002 he took over the management of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology , the society for capital marketing of the State of Berlin. In 2003 he returned to Deutsche Bahn as chairman of the regional management of DB Regio in Hanover with responsibility for local passenger transport in northern Germany. From April 1, 2008, he was a member, and from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2017, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover.

Von Fritsch is a member of several committees, including the supervisory board of Alstom Transport Deutschland , the administrative board of the VHV Group , the advisory board of Norddeutsche Landesbank , from 2013 to 2018 also the supervisory board of TÜV Nord , from 2011 to 2017 of the advisory board of Bankhaus Hallbaum and from 2011 to 2017 chairman of the supervisory board of event it AG .

Volunteering

Von Fritsch was, among other things, chairman of the Hanover Industry Club , member of the Foreign Trade Advisory Board of the Federal Minister of Economics , member of the Economic Advisory Board of Deutsche Welle , board member of the Institute of North German Economy, Board member of the Diakovere Foundation and deputy commander of the Hanoverian Cooperative of the Order of St. John . From 2008 to 2017 he was a member of the General Assembly, from 2012 to 2017 Vice President of the Hanover Chamber of Commerce and Industry . From 2007 to 2014 he was the curator of the Annastift in Hanover and from 2007 to 2009 a member of the board of directors of the Diakonische Dienst Hannover (DDH).

Private life

Von Fritsch is a Protestant, married and has four children. He is a brother of the diplomat Rüdiger von Fritsch , a descendant of Thomas von Fritsch and Jakob Friedrich von Fritsch, and a great-nephew of Werner von Fritsch .
