Sibylle Mottl-Link (born February 14, 1971 in Heilbronn ) is a German doctor and children's book author.

Life

Sibylle Mottl-Link studied medicine at the Saarland University in Homburg / Saar, at the University of Vienna (Austria) and at the Medical University of Lübeck. After completing her doctorate, she first worked in the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Demmin District Hospital . This was followed by positions in the Clinic for Cardiac Surgery in Karlsruhe, the Cardiac Surgery Department at the University Hospital Heidelberg, the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the University Hospital Mannheim and in the pediatric and adolescent medical service of the City of Mannheim.

During her university career, she was particularly interested in the three-dimensional representation of the (child's) heart.

Since the publication of her first medical children's book Frau Doktor hat eine Vogel , Mottl-Link has been on the road with her "puppet comedy" throughout the German-speaking region, preferably in schools and libraries, and has been providing health education for children in an entertaining way. She published her latest reading program Physical Needs under the stage name Dr. Heather herb.

Mottl-Link lives in Heidelberg, is married and has two children.

(Pre-) readings and appearances

With her hand puppets, the birds CORA and disaster-KARA, the intestinal bacterium COLI and a snake, Sibylle Mottl-Link has made more than 290 appearances since 2011. In the press she was therefore already referred to as "the doctor with the speaking hand".
