Sid Waddell

Sid Waddell (born August 10, 1940 in Alnwick , Northumberland , † August 11, 2012 in Harrogate , Yorkshire ) was a British television commentator, known as "the voice of darts". For a long time he was responsible for Sky Sports as a commentator for the darts broadcast. After his death in 2012, the PDC named the Cup of the World Cup in his honor the Sid Waddell Trophy .
