They wanted water but get gasoline is the eighth solo album of German rapper Kontra K . The album was released on May 24, 2019 on the music label BMG Rights Management .

In addition to the standard version and a limited box set, which includes a chrome-plated petrol can, a shoulder bag, a towel and a signed autograph card, a premium edition is also available, which contains a t-shirt instead of the petrol can, the shoulder bag and the towel.
