George Boateng (born September 30, 1982 in Berlin ), also known by his rapper name BTNG, is a German - Ghanaian rapper .

Life

With his brothers Jérôme Boateng and Kevin-Prince Boateng , George played football in his free time and for the youth teams of Hertha BSC . When his brothers were signed for the men's teams, George stopped playing. After an eight-month detention for assault and working as a dog breeder, he occasionally played football again for the regional league club CFC Hertha 06 .

On May 1, 2015, Boateng released his first single Grown on Concrete under the name BTNG with the Warner Music Group . The name of his first song is an allusion to a marketing campaign called "3 United" by the international sporting goods manufacturer Nike , in which a wall painting can be seen on a fire wall in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen showing George and his two brothers with the big one The lettering "Grown on concrete" above their heads. His album, released in September 2015, has the same title.
