Seven Sorrows of Mary (Günzburg)
The Catholic Church of the Seven Sorrows of Mary (originally St. Andreas) in Günzburg , the district town of the district of Günzburg in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia , was built from 1914 to 1917 as the church of the former sanatorium and nursing home. The church on Reisensburger Strasse is a protected architectural monument .
The hall building with a strongly recessed choir and roof turret with a lantern-like attachment with a hood was built according to plans by the royal building officer Widerspick and Franz Saumweber.
The construction was finished in the summer of 1917 without equipment . The inauguration could only take place in 1926, as the high and side altars and other parts, made according to plans by Franz Saumweber, could only be completed late.
