Seven schools of Wang Yangming teachings
Seven schools of Wang Yangming teaching ( Chinese 王 学 七 派 , Pinyin Wángxué qīpài ) is a collective term for various neo-Confucian schools in Chinese philosophy . The teachings of Wang Yangming (1472–1529) 王 陽明 (or Wang Shouren 王守仁) dominated China for more than a hundred years. Wang Yangming became the representative and founder of the Yangming School (阳明 学派 Yángmíng xuépài). Later this school split into six smaller schools according to the areas where the representatives of each school were born, namely the Zhezhong School (浙 中 学派 Zhèzhōng xuépài), Jiangyou School (江 右 (江西) 学派 Jiāngyòu (Jiāngxī) xuépài ), Nanzhong School (南中 学派 Nánzhōng xuépài), Chuzhong School (楚 中 学派 Chǔzhōng xuépài), Northern School (北方 学派 Běifāng xuépài) and the School of Guangdong and Fujian (粤闽 学派 Yuuè-Mǐi) x.
