Wladimir Jeliferjewitsch Nakorjakow ( Russian Владимир Елиферьевич Накоряков ; born July 26, 1935 in Odessa , † April 1, 2018 in Novosibirsk ) was a Soviet physicist and university professor .

Life

Nakoryakov's father was shot dead during the Great Terror of 1937. Nakoryakov grew up in Petrovsk-Sabaikalsky .

Nakoryakov studied at the Tomsk Technology Institute (TTI) with a degree in 1958. This was followed by an apprenticeship (1959–1962) at the Transport Energy Institute of the West Siberian branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (AN-SSSR, since 1991 Russian Academy of Sciences ( RAN)). He then worked there and at the Institute for Physico-Chemical Basics of the Development of Mineral Raw Materials in Novosibirsk. In 1964 he received his doctorate with his thesis on the influence of sound waves on heat and material transport as a candidate in technical sciences.

In 1965 Nakoryakov became a research assistant at the Institute for Thermophysics of the Siberian Department (SO) of the AN-SSSR in Novosibirsk. In 1971 he was with his dissertation on heat mass transfer in the sound field for doctoral doctorate in technical sciences. In 1972 he became a member of the CPSU . In 1976 he was appointed professor and deputy director of the institute (until 1982). He headed chairs at the Novosibirsk State University (NGU) and the Novosibirsk State Technical University . In 1981 he was elected Corresponding Member of the AN-SSSR. 1982–1985 Nakoryakov was Rector of the Novosibirsk State University after Anatoly Panteleevich Derewjanko . His successor was Yuri Leonidowitsch Jerschow . 1985–1990 Nakoryakov was vice-chairman of the presidium of the SO of the AN-SSSR.

1986–1997 Nakoryakov was director of the Institute for Thermophysics of the SO of the AN-SSSR in Novosibirsk, which since 1994 has been called Samson Semjonowitsch Kutateladses . In 1987 he was elected a full member of the AN-SSSR.

Nakoryakov contributed significantly to the physical and technical basics of energy technology . The main research areas were hydrodynamics and the heat transport processes in gas - liquid flows , wave dynamics in two-phase media , unsteady processes in multiphase systems, convective heat-mass transport processes in porous media and heat and mass transfer during combustion . Later he turned theoretically and experimentally to fuel cells and hydrogen production . He laid the foundations for the theory of absorption heat pumps . He pointed the way to ecologically clean energy technology and energy saving . Together with Yakov Borisovich Zel'dovich and Samson Semenovich Kutateladze he observed in 1986 the formation of dilution shock waves .

Nakoryakov was an expert on the Nobel Committee for Physics and Chemistry for four years . He is a full member of the Engineering Academy of the Russian Federation and the International Energy Academy (IEA) . He is a member of the Expert Council of the Russian Innovations Competition organized by Expert magazine . He is co-editor of 10 international and Russian journals and editor of the Journal of Engineering Thermophysics . He is a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia.
