The Hubertus settlement is an inhabited part of the Waltersdorf district of Schönefeld in the Dahme-Spreewald district in Brandenburg .

location

The settlement is located northwest of the community center. To the east is the further part of the municipality of Waltersdorf , to the south the municipality of Schulzendorf . The residential area is in the protection and compensation area of Berlin Brandenburg Airport .

history

The settlement was founded in 1929 and named after an administrator who went hunting. He named the settlement after the patron saint of hunters, Hubertus von Lüttich . In 1941 it first appeared as a settlement belonging to Waltersdorf.

Although the settlement does not have its own coat of arms, it is symbolized in the coat of arms of the municipality of Waltersdorf by one of the five cornflowers . The community wants to indirectly refer to "agriculture as the main historical source of income for the people of Waltersdorfer".
