The Siege Dome ( English for Siege Dome ) is a small, ice-covered and 2100 m high mountain peak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Commonwealth Range of the Queen Maud Mountains, it rises south of the head end of Hood Glacier and southeast of Mount Patrick .
Participants of the New Zealand Alpine Club Antarctic Expedition (1959-1960) named him after they had to endure an eight-day blizzard when setting up a land survey station here .
