Siegfried A. Weinhold

Siegfried A. Weinhold (* 1930 in Olbernhau ) is a German expert and author.

Life

Siegfried A. Weinhold is the grandson of the founder of Otto Weinhold jr Kunstmöbelfabrik in Olbernhau. From 1950 to 1953 he studied high frequency and telecommunications technology at the Mittweida engineering school . He then worked as an editor for the scientific journal “Nachrichtenentechnik” in Berlin.

Among other things, Weinhold worked as a graduate engineer in the field of electronics in Cambridge / England, as a specialist journalist in Berlin and Stuttgart and as a Marketing Services Manager at Fairchild Semiconductor .

From 1972 to 1994 he headed the public relations department at Forschungszentrum Jülich (formerly KFA nuclear research facility Jülich). In 1972/1973 he was responsible for the conception of the documentary Jülich developed the high-temperature reactor and in 1981 for the documentary The Weightless Spies , a film about "positron emission tomography" (investigation of the metabolism in the heart and brain). The film received the Grand Prix of the Economic Film Festival in Salzburg in 1982.

In 1995 Siegfried A. Weinhold was appointed by the Science Council as an expert in an evaluation group for film.
