Siegfried Hadler

Siegfried Hadler (born December 22, 1932 ) is a former German police officer. He was major general and from 1976 to 1990 head of the district authority of the German People's Police (BDVP) Rostock .

Life

Hadler, son of master mason Richard Hadler, completed a commercial apprenticeship after attending elementary and high school with a high school diploma. He then worked as an administrative clerk. Hadler became a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and in 1953 a member of the German People's Police (VP). He began his service with the criminal police and qualified as a qualified criminalist.

As Colonel of the VP, Hadler was Deputy Operational of the Boss and after the departure of the boss of the BDVP Rostock, Ernst Fuchs , was initially charged with the management in April 1976. In November 1976 he was appointed head of the Rostock BDVP. Hadler was also a member of the SED district leadership and deputy of the district day Rostock. On June 29, 1979, he was appointed major general by the chairman of the GDR's National Defense Council, Erich Honecker .
