Siegfried Lamnek

Siegfried Lamnek (born October 3, 1943 in Crvenka , Kingdom of Yugoslavia ) is a German sociologist .

Lamnek received his doctorate in 1976 with a comparison of criminal sociological theory under Karl Martin Bolte and completed his habilitation in 1985 with a secondary analytical contribution to juvenile delinquency at the University of Munich . From 1990 to 2009 he was Professor of Sociology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt with a focus on “Methodological research in qualitative social research”, “Theories of deviant behavior and theories of crime” and “Violence in schools”.
