Siegfried Obermeier

Siegfried Obermeier (born January 21, 1936 in Munich ; † January 21, 2011 in Oberschleißheim near Munich) was a German non-fiction and novelist.

He worked as an editor and wrote for radio, newspapers and magazines. His carefully researched historical novels have been translated into many languages. He was the holder of the Littera Medal. Most recently he lived as a freelance writer in Oberschleißheim , where he died on his 75th birthday.
