Siegfried Pflugfelder

Siegfried Pflugfelder (born September 26, 1924 in Stuttgart ; † January 22, 2004 in Ludwigsburg ), was a German politician ( CDU ) and Lord Mayor of Kornwestheim from 1962 to 1982 .

Pflugfelder was first mayor and first alderman in Kornwestheim from 1956 to 1962. From 1962 to 1982 he was mayor there. He made a particularly good contribution to residential construction and the development of the north and east industrial areas.

He also took care of the promotion of cultural, sporting and social life. Pflugfelder initiated the new construction of the city library, the House of Music and the Alfred Kercher indoor swimming pool.

During his tenure, the Jakob-Sigle -Heim and the Haus am Stadtgarten were built.

In 1989, Pflugfelder was made an honorary citizen of the city of Kornwestheim.

In 2007 the newly created space at the former Kornwestheim fire brigade was named after him.
