Siegfried Röhlig

Siegfried Röhlig (born April 2, 1928 in Langburkersdorf ; † September 23, 2000 in Hamburg ) was a German SPD politician .

Life

Röhlig attended middle school and business school in Brüx , took part in the Second World War and became a prisoner of war. From 1945 to 1947 he was a commercial clerk in Zwickau . From 1947 to 1952 he worked for the British occupation forces in Hamburg . In 1952 he embarked on a middle career in financial administration and became a tax officer. After studying pedagogy from 1971 to 1974 at the University of Hamburg, he worked as a technical college teacher. He joined the SPD in 1960. On March 19, 1975, he replaced the resigned MP Karl-Wilhelm Berkhan in the German Bundestag and remained there until the end of the 1976 electoral term. From April 1975 he was a full member of the Finance Committee and from June 1975 a deputy member of the Economic Committee.
