Siegfried Schwing

Siegfried Schwing (born March 30, 1962 in Mannheim ) is a former German amateur boxer.

Career

Schwing began boxing at KSV 1884 Mannheim in 1979 at the age of 17 and after a short time switched to the boxing department of SV Waldhof Mannheim 07 . He was third in the German Junior Championships in 1979, which he also succeeded in the following year 1980, in the same year he moved to BAC 55 Hockenheim. He later fought for the TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen boxing relay .

In 1982 and 1984 he was German flyweight championship senior , and in 1984 he was German team champion with the TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen boxing relay . He was also a national relay boxer and completed several international matches for Germany. In 1985 he won the bronze medal at the Intercup in Sindelfingen . In the same year, he ended his active boxing career at the age of 23.
