Siegmundt Tobias Caesar

Siegmundt Tobias Caesar (born August 28, 1763 in Bremen , † March 10, 1838 in Bremen) was a businessman and Senator from Bremen .

biography

Caesar was the son of the wine merchant and elderly Clemens Albert Caesar (1724–1803) and his wife Meta (1736–1795).
He was married to the mayor's daughter Elisabeth von dem Busch (1769-1853); both had four children.

Like his father, he became a wine merchant, joined his father's wine shop and later took over the company, which had great difficulties during the period of the French continental blockade from 1806 to 1813.

From 1794 to 1831 he was the successor to Arnold Brummer Bremen councilor / senator, he resigned from his office.
